Kigelia africana is said to improve the firmness and elasticity of the skin. Extracts of the bark, wood, roots and fruits possess antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is renowned for possessing anti-cancer properties. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of its fruit make it effective in treating skin-related conditions, such as fungal infections, acne, eczema and psoriasis. The fruits are highly poisonous, not to be consumed.
