Attendance
A candidate who has 85% or more attendance is eligible to appear for the ESE. For students with less than 75% attendance, rules are followed as per the University regulations.
Students are required to pay the end semester examination fee during the stipulated time, for the Revaluation, Improvement / Repeat, Supplementary and Rejoin courses they wish to take in the given semester by registering online when the portal is open for the same on the website.
The schedule for the ESE will be worked out by the Office of the Controller of Examinations and uploaded in the Students portal 10 days prior to the commencement of the ESE.
ESE Revaluation
A student has the right to appeal in writing to the Controller of Examinations for the re-totaling of her marks or for the revaluation of the paper. She has to apply to the Office of the Controller of Examinations by registering online when the portal is opened for the same on the website within a week from the publication of ESE results. The Controller of Examinations, in consultation with the Principal, will arrange for re-totaling / revaluation of the papers. Revaluation will be done by an external examiner appointed by the Principal. There will be no revaluation of Practical paper. However, marks obtained through revaluation will NOT be considered for a rank in that course.
Improvement of ESE marks
A student who has passed an ESE can take an improvement examination the very next semester. She can take the examination for improvement only once per paper. She has to apply to the Office of the Controller of Examinations by registering online when the portal is opened for the same on the website. The higher mark obtained by the student in the two examinations will be considered as her final mark. However, marks obtained through improvement will NOT be considered for the award of classification.
Repeat Examinations
A student who was absent or has failed for an ESE can repeat the paper in any semester. After three regular chances to take repeat examinations (irrespective of whether she takes it or not) in the same syllabus, a student has to take repeat examinations in the new syllabus if there is a revision. She has to apply to the Office of the Controller of Examinations by registering online when the portal is opened for the same on the website within a week from the publication of Supplementary Results during the month of June / July for Odd Semester and Revaluation results during the month of December / January for Even Semester.
Supplementary Examinations
Additionally, examinations will be held in June / July for the final year students who have an arrear in one course in the final semester to qualify for the degree. She has to apply to the Office of the Controller of Examinations by registering online when the portal is opened for the same on the website within five days from the publication of Revaluation results. However students with lack of attendance, absent and students who indulged in malpractice during the VI semester examinations for UG and IV semester examinations for PG are NOT ELIGIBLE to take the supplementary examinations.
