 A certificate course in Quantitative Aptitude (30 hours duration)  is offered to third year students of all majors. This course equips the students to prepare for competitive examinations involving Quantitative techniques.

Certificate Course on Traditional Dyeing Methods - Tie & Dye and Batik

The Certificate Course on Traditional Dyeing Methods – Tie & Dye and Batik is designed and offered by the Department of Chemistry. This course aims at experiential learning that eventually can lead towards entrepreneurship. The course covers a general understanding of the nature of textile fibers principles and types of dyeing methods. Traditional methods of dyeing such as Tie & Dye and Batik techniques will be taught with an eye for modern trends. The course would provide hands-on experience on various methods, styles, and techniques of tying a fabric, choice of fabrics, types of dyes, and their significance. The course also aims to motivate students to be creative to develop novel patterns and designs.

Advanced Biblical Counseling Course [AABC Level –1]

The Advanced Biblical Counselling Course, level I is a training Course recognized by the Association of Christian Counsellors, South Asia. This course is being offered as a certificate course by the Department of Psychology along with Person to Person, Centre for Christian Counselling.
The course provides participants with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them to begin practicing Christian Counselling, and enabling those satisfactorily completing the entire Level 1 course with an additional 100 hours of supervised counselling practice and other requirements to apply for accreditation to ACC as a level 1 counselor.

The level 1 training is an intensive program which carries fifty credit hours. It has classroom inputs, case studies, practice in triads, trainer demonstrations and interpersonal exercises. In line with the training, the participants have to submit assignments both reading and writing. The course also has Growth Groups which help the participants to get in touch with their own feelings and tune in to those of the other group members. The participants will be required to do a Mid-week & Final review to test their learning.

Certificate course in Foreign Languages

The department of languages offers and coordinates certificate courses in German, Spanish and Japanese to students at two levels A1.1 and A1.2. WCC has signed an MoU with inAword – a centre for foreign languages hence proficient teaches and courses at affordable prices are available to students. Moreover, these courses focus on very contemporary methods of learning that keep the student both engaged and informed actively in the language. On the successful completion of the course the student is awarded a certificate

UGC Sponsored Career-Oriented Programme

Certificate Course in Business English – offered for three days per week after college hours. With its focus on skill development and employability, the course provides exposure to and training in business communication for undergraduate students across departments.

Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning

Introduction to Dyslexia and Remedial teaching methods

Course objectives:

  1.  To identify children with learning difficulties in the normal classroom.
  2. To understand teaching methods to overcome learning problems.
  3. To help the parent to move in the positive direction. 

Course Outcomes:

  1. Students will be able to assess children with learning difficulties in the normal classroom
  2. Students will be able to teach remedial sessions for children with dyslexia and counsel parents of such children 

Duration of Hours:45 hours(25 hours theory and 20 hours practicals.)

Offered in semesters 1 & 2.

Certificate Course in Tally with GST*

Certificate Course in Tally is a job oriented skill based course offered by the Department of Commerce (B.Com) for a duration of 30 hours from July 2018 onwards, and is now upgraded as Tally with GST. Tally has become the integral part of any organization in order to manage accounting details. This course is to educate and train non commerce final year students in computerised accounting.

Certificate course in Tax planning

Duration  – 30 hours

Eligibility – Non Commerce Students 

This course introduce them to the major components of an individual income tax return allowing them to prepare and complete an accurate return. The students gain the required knowledge about tax planning procedure.

Designing Tools

A short term certificate course on “Designing Tools” is offered by the Department of Information Technology for all UG departments of Shift II to enhance their creative and designing skills using recent technologies. This course gives an insight on editing the pictures with various tools, creating animations, posters and visiting cards etc, using Photoshop and Flash and the duration of this certificate course is 30 hours. On completion of the course, the students are  assessed based on the performance in the given project work and certified for the same.

Diploma In Computerized Accounting

Eight Months diploma program in Computerized Accounting in collaboration with the University of Madras. The program covers three employable and skill-based papers such as Tally, Business Data Processing and Decision Making using Ms-Excel.

The department of Management Studies (MA HRM) offers two certification programs

HR GENERALIST Certification course is offered to the I MA HRM students.

The department of Management MA HRM conducts certification course on HR Generalist for the first year students. The Certification course is conducted by SPARK Academy for a period of 30 hours, and the topics covered in the certification course are: Manpower planning and Recruitment, Employee Relations, Human Resources Operations & Learning and Development.

HR ANALYTICS AND PAYROLL- CERTIFICATION COURSE

The department of management studies (MA HRM) conducts Certification Program for the second year students on HR analytics and Payroll. The Certification course is conducted by SPARK Academy for a period of 30 hours. The Students learn about the payroll process and experienced to work with Payroll Sheets.
