MORPHOLOGY |
Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is an evergreen Shrub growing to 2.5 m. Stems woody and branched. Leaves with serate margin. The species has both male and female organs and is pollinated by insects. Flowers are found solitary or in clusters. Each having five petals which are brightly coloured (red, pink, yellow and orange) that attracts insects for pollination. It has a long style and bifid stigma.
