MORPHOLOGY	Annual herb 20 -30 cm long petioled. Leaves- long serrate and ovate, glabrous. Flower- greenish white, spike, male and female flowers in separate spikes, sterile flowers are also present. Fruit – capsule. Seeds- ovoid and smooth.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES	ul {margin: 0;} It contains a number of medically active ingredients including essential oil, resin, tannins and alkaloids. Decoction is used to treat asthma, intestinal worms and stomach-ache. Leaf powder is used for maggot-infested wounds. It helps in proper functioning of digestive system and respiratory organs.
