Grevillea robusta timber has been widely used as firewood, in the manufacture of furniture, fences etc. as it is resistant to wood rot. Its tonal and aesthetic qualities are made use of in the making of guitars. However, felling is reduced due to its declining population. The leaves offer intense yellow and green dyes. The flowers are one of the richest sources of nectar. The nectar falls in showers when the flowers are shaken and makes a sweet drink.
