About us

The Department of Psychology gained the status of a research department in 2002, with the introduction of the M.Phil. programme.

The M.Phil. programme focusses on developing a strong research culture where culturally relevant and ethically validated research is carried out in both basic and applied aspects of Psychology. The students learn to mentor the postgraduate and undergraduate students of the Department sharpening their own research acumen in the process. They are encouraged to attend multifarious conferences and seminars, present research papers and publish in prominent academic journals.
